NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING AND POSSIBLE EXECUTIVE SESSION
OF THE COCHISE COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS

 

Pursuant to A.R.S38.431.02, notice is hereby given to the members of the Cochise County Board of Supervisors and to the general public that the Cochise County Board of Supervisors will hold a meeting open to the public on monday, january 4, 2010 AT 2:30 pM. in the Board of Supervisors’ Conference Room located at 1415 Melody Lane, Building G, Bisbee for the purpose of deciding whether to go into executive session. If authorized by a majority vote of the Cochise County Board of Supervisors, the executive session will be held immediately after the vote and will not be open to the public
 
THE AGENDA FOR THE MEETING IS AS FOLLOWS:

ACTION

ITEM 1

PURSUANT TO A.R.S. 38-431-03(A)7, THE BOARD MAY VOTE TO GO INTO EXECUTIVE SESSION FOR DISCUSSION OR CONSULTATION WITH DESIGNATED REPRESENTATIVES OF THE PUBLIC BODY IN ORDER TO CONSIDER ITS POSITION AND INSTRUCT ITS REPRESENTATIVES REGARDING NEGOTIATIONS FOR THE PURCHASE, SALE OR LEASE OF REAL PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF DOUGLAS, FOR THE PURPOSE OF ESTABLISHING A COCHISE COUNTY REGIONAL SERVICE CENTER, SPECIFICALLY CONSIDERING THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS: THE PHELPS DODGE BUILDING AT THE NORTHWEST corner of 10th Street and G Ave.; the FORMER K-Mart building along SR 80, near the NORTHWEST Corner of Douglas Ave.; VACANT PROPERTY DIRECTLY TO THE WEST OF THE FORMER K-MART BUILDING, AND VACANT property ALONG pAN AMERICAN AVENUE, NORTH OF 17TH STREET, IN DOUGLAS.

 

ITEM 2

PURSUANT TO ARS 38-431.03(A)3 AND ARS 38-431.03(A)4, THE BOARD MAY VOTE TO GO INTO EXECUTIVE SESSION TO OBTAIN LEGAL ADVICE AND TO CONSIDER ITS POSITION AND INSTRUCT ITS ATTORNEYS REGARDING THE PUBLIC BODY'S POSITION IN PENDING OR CONTEMPLATING LITIGATION OR IN SETTLEMENT DISCUSSIONS CONDUCTED TO RESOLVE PENDING LITIGATION IN THE MATTER OF EORP v. CampbelL (ELECTED OFFICERS RETIREMENT PLAN V. CAMPBELL).
