NOTICE OF INVITATION OF APPLICATION

FOR ASSISTANCE TO PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION PROVIDERS

IN COCHISE COUNTY

The Cochise County Board of Supervisors hereby provides notice of the availability of funding to assist public transportation providers in Cochise County. The Board is accepting applications from transportation providers within Cochise County that provide transit services to:

1. The general public

2. Elderly persons

3. Persons with disabilities

4. Welfare recipients or “low-income” persons engaged in employment activities

Approximately $78,179.00 of grant funding is available to Cochise County from the Arizona Department of Transportation Local Transportation Assistance Fund (LTAF II) State Fiscal Year 2010. Eligible transportation providers may apply through Cochise County for LTAF II assistance. LTAF II APPLICATIONS ARE DUE TO THE COCHISE COUNTY FACILITIES/COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT-GRANTS OFFICE NO LATER THAN 5:00 P.M. ON MARCH 5, 2010.

LTAF II funding is subject to availability from the Arizona Department of Transportation.
