NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

 

The Cochise County Planning and Zoning Commission hereby gives notice a public hearing will be held at or after 4:00 p.m., on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at the Cochise County Board of Supervisors Hearing Room, at 1415 Melody Lane, Building G, in Bisbee, Arizona, to consider the following:

 

Docket SU-10-01 (Ritter): The Applicant seeks a Special Use Permit to establish and operate a bed and breakfast/'quilting retreat' in a proposed 1,100 square foot structure on a 2-acre site in Hereford, per Section 906.10 (Bed and Breakfast Lodgings) of the Zoning Regulations.  The subject properties (tax parcel id nos. 104-07-052B; 104-07-052D) are zoned SR-43 Zoning District (Single-Household Residential; minimum lot size 1-acre).  Parcel 104-07-052B is approximately 2-acres and would include the bed and breakfast; Parcel 104-07-052D is approximately 1-acre and includes the Applicants' existing single-family residence and accessory structures.

 

The subject parcels are located at 6720 Calle de la Mango in Hereford and are further described as being situated in Section 08 of Township 23, Range 21 East of the G&SRB&M, in Cochise County, Arizona. The Applicants are Sheila and William Ritter.

 

Details of the above docket are on file in the Cochise County Planning Department and may be examined during office hours.  Inquiries may be directed to Planner Michael Turisk by calling 520-432-9240, or by email to mturisk@cochise.az.gov.  All persons interested in said matter may appear at the public hearing and show cause why the request should or should not be granted.

 

If the above docket has not been heard by the Planning and Zoning Commission by 8 p.m. at the January 13th meeting, the public hearing regarding this proposed special use may be continued to a later date at the Chair’s discretion.
